The partners of the AWARD project gathered in Iași, Romania, on 28 April 2026 for the project’s First Transnational Project Meeting (TPM1), hosted by the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași (UAIC), Faculty of Physical Education and Sport.

The meeting brought together representatives from all partner organisations to review the progress achieved during the first months of implementation, strengthen collaboration among partners, and coordinate the next phases of the project.

The event took place at the Museum of the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași and marked an important milestone for the Erasmus+ Sport project, which focuses on supporting coaches and mentors in promoting mental well-being, inclusion, and positive development in youth sports.

The meeting officially opened with welcome speeches delivered by PhD Prof. Nicoleta Laura Popa, Vice-Rector of UAIC. Partners were welcomed to Iași and introduced to the objectives of the meeting by the AWARD Project Coordinator, Oana Rusu and her team.

During the first working sessions, partners discussed the implementation coordination activities, upcoming events and the creation of impact through the project. This allowed partners to align expectations and ensure effective collaboration throughout the project duration.

Partners also exchanged ideas on increasing the project’s visibility across partner countries and engaging relevant stakeholders within the youth sports ecosystem.

The first transnational meeting represented an important opportunity for partners to strengthen cooperation, exchange expertise, and build a shared vision for the successful implementation of the AWARD project.

Through collaboration between universities, sports organisations, and educational experts from across Europe, AWARD aims to contribute to healthier, safer, and more inclusive sporting environments for young athletes.
