Our Mission
The mission of the AWARD project (Achieving Wonders: Athlete's Recognition & Development for the Contribution in Society) is to create a supportive learning environment for coaches and mentors that enables youth athletes to reach their full potential.
Our Target Groups
Youth Athletes (Ages 6-18)
The ultimate beneficiary target group comprises youth athletes across various sports. These are the young individuals who actively participate in sports and will benefit from the project's initiatives to foster their personal development, mental well-being and values formation.
Coaches
Coaches play a pivotal role in shaping young athletes, acting as both trainers and mentors.
The project aims to enhance their coaching abilities by integrating mental health support and holistic athlete development principles into their training methodologies.
Athlete Mentors
Mentors, often former athletes, provide guidance and serve as role models foryouth athletes.Their role extends beyond technical training to instilling discipline, teamwork, leadership, and personal growth.
Sports Associations
Sports associations are key implementation partners, ensuring the scalability and integration of AWARD methodologies across different sports disciplines. By collaborating with local, national, and European sports organisations, the project will embed its principles into existing training structures, benefiting a wide network of young athletes, coaches, and mentors.
